See Through Shinobi’s Lens

Who is Shinobi? Truthfully, I am someone that has wanted get into photography for a long time but always stuck to point and shoot cameras.  Over the last 5 years I have spent a lot of time traveling (30+ countries) and really didn’t think the photos really captured the beauty of the places dsc_3896I visited.  So I decided to buy my first DSLR in 2015 and attack my passion for photography.  Starting out I read a lot of tips on the web and watched a couple of youtube videos and just started shooting.  I was amazed at the progress I made so quickly and felt like I could actually fulfill this creative dream I had.  My first camera was a Nikon D3200.  I really fell in love with landscape photography and especially night photography as long exposures intrigues me.  Fast forward to 2016 now I use a Nikon D7200 and recommend it if you are interested in a DSLR that is not full frame.

One of my brilliant friends that is a photographer peaked my interests in street photography after exploring Atlanta.  Check out www.keithshoots.com to follow this amazing photographer.  I started doing street photography as well as it allows you to capture unfiltered moments of people in their everyday life.  Just recently I started doing photography for local races in my community and I was ecstatic from the feedback received; it feels like I am headed in the right direction.  One of the photos landed in the local newspaper.  Now that I have started I won’t stop progressing as I have National Geographic goals in mind.

What is photography to me?  My philosophy when taking pictures is to just go out and shoot different angles that most people wouldn’t normally try.  There is so many places left to explore and of course I get the “money shots” in Paris, New York or London but I also try to capture these shots in ways that hasn’t been done before.  I like going out in unspoiled nature and just hiking to off the beaten path areas.  I find that this is where I take my best shots.  Follow me on my journey as I look to improve and learn new techniques.  Shoot me a message if you would like to use my services.  Contact me for any licensing of photos. I will be blogging about my travels, concepts I have learned and will provide tips for anyone that would like to improve.
