New York Comic Con 2019

Let’s talk about NYCC 2019. Well it was my 1st time attended and it did not disappoint. It was a fun-filled four days that I can’t wait to get back to next year. It was the Con I debuted my A-Train which was a Con favorite. I couldn’t believe the reception of the cosplay. I was looking forward to wearing it since I watched the show and connected to the character. A-Train has easily become one of my favorite cosplays and I had a ton fun running around the Con. I actually had prop bloody hands for people to pose with and that went down so well.  It was great… Read More

The Best of Dragon Con 2019

Another year another Dragon Con is in the books.  Dragon Con is still my favorite Con of any I have been to.  It also helps that it is a homecoming for me since I am from Atlanta and it was the 1st Con I ever went to on my mother’s advice I might add.  The weather was perfect everyday of the Con.  Dragon Con is a Con for cosplayers and nerds alike.  It is the best cosplay party hands down.  It is a non-stop party comparable to Vegas!  I challenge you to go and in the words of Sergeant Lincoln Osiris, “Survive!”  The first night myself and @swaggycosplayer brought a party… Read More

Japan Expo Paris

This was my first time attending Japan Expo or any Con in Paris.  It was an absolute blast and I met some amazing cosplayers and photographers and made several new friends.  I hadn’t worn my Black Panther cosplay in a while and decided to wear it on the Saturday.  Paris definitely showed me a lot of love in that cosplay.  Before I even made it to the Con while we were in the parking lot several cars drove by and yelled Wakanda Forever and of course I replied Wakanda Forever or Yibambe.  My homey Ugo and Cosplay convinced me (to be honest it didn’t take much convincing me to go… Read More

X-Men Phoenix London Fan Event and MCM London Comic Con

Last week I was fortunate enough to be invited to the X-Men Fan Event in London in which the director and some of the cast had a Q&A panel before we saw some exclusive footage for the upcoming movie.   The Picturehouse Central in London hosted the fan event where stars James McAvoy, Sophie Turner, Jessica Chastain, Michael Fassbender, and director Simon Kinberg attended.   I was invited to the event as a cosplayer.  I was the blue guy, Nightcrawler aka Kurt Wagner.  Nightcrawler has been a cosplay that has been on my dream list for a long time and finally it was time.  The cast loved the cosplays and gave us… Read More

MCM Birmingham Dedication to Gideon

I was tagged in a post a few days before MCM Birmingham where a father was requesting cosplayers that were in attendance to send loving messages to his son that couldn’t attend the Con.  Gideon had a brain tumor and recently had brain surgery and was in the hospital.  This crushed me for a few reasons.  First I was really considering not going to the Con because I was feeling not in the Con spirit.  It made me re-evaluate how happy I should be because I could go to the Con and be among friends and other cosplayers.  Second I hate to see stories like this.  I reached out to… Read More

MCM Comic Con London Review

Wow so another Con is on the books as MC Comic Con London is over and was all but a blur. Even with the cold it was amazing and what made it amazing was the people. There is always so much love in the cosplay community and each Con my cosplay family net gets a little bigger. It’s always great to see and speak with people no matter how brief. I always value also meeting new people especially people that I’ve been communicated with for a while on the gram. Honestly the people attending make the Con special for me.   I’ve just finished writing my 1st graphic novel and I was… Read More

MCM London Screening of the First Thirty-Eight Minutes of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Another MCM Comic Con is done and in the books.  One of my favourite moments during the Con was watching the first thirty-eight minutes of the Into the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Sony animated movie. I was blown away by what I saw and am thoroughly looking forward to seeing the entire film. The sneak peek ended up to the point where the scene starts at the end of the Venom movie.  So it is safe to say I have now seen the 1st 43 minutes of the film.  I am going to talk about this experience without spoiling anything for all of you that are waiting to enjoy this movie… Read More

MCM Comic Con Interview with Actor Tony Todd

I was lucky enough to interview Tony Todd in his press panel at MCM Comic Con London. He’s always been on my list as one of my favourite actors. He has a way of being incredibly creepy. As a horror junkie he never disappoints in that genre.  He has over 200 credits to his name and even though he is known for being in horror films he is so much more than that to include being an accomplished stage actor. Some of his most popular roles in movies and TV series are: Night of the Living Dead (1990), Lean on Me, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Candyman 1-3, The Crow,… Read More

Dragon Con 2018 Review

Well to date the best Con I had experienced was London MCM Comic Con May 2018.  The experience I had there was amazing and I didn’t think it would be topped this year.  Fast forward a few months to Dragon Con and it was by far my best Con experience up to this point.  It didn’t hurt that it is located in my hometown of Atlanta, GA.  First, if you like sleep then don’t bother.  Dragon Con is 5 days of partying in which you will fail to sleep.  I don’t care how much of a homebody you are.  It differs from other Cons because after a long Con day… Read More
