I never thought I would be writing this blog post but here goes nothing.  As most of you know I am leaving the UK and relocating to Asia.  There are not enough words to express how much I have enjoyed living in the UK.  In large part it was due to you wonderful people.  Although I am excited about my new opportunity, there is a large part of me that is very sad to be leaving such an amazing group of friends.  I can’t put into words how much I value all of the relationships that I have made over the past 3 and a half years. You made me look forward to every single Con because I looked forward to hanging out with all of you wonderful people.

I consider so many of you family which helps with me being so far away from all of my family. Thank you for welcoming me into the cosplay community with open arms and making this place feel like home and for giving me a family.  Many of you have become my closest friends today and I don’t know if I can ever say just how much I appreciate you all, which is why this decision to leave was really hard.
We laughed, we cried and we have partied.  I feel like the fact that I do feel sad about leaving shows how much I have enjoyed it here.  On one hand I am ready for this new adventure but on the other it is so hard to leave you amazing people behind.  I can’t think of a Con where I have been hit with uncontrollable laughter from jokes and the like.  To my Wing Wing crew, please continue the tradition and when I return it will be marvelous.  To the other founding members of the Ugo and Cosplay Fan Club continue the tradition.   You know I will still contribute from a far 🙂  Ugo Con 2020!

To my North East Avengers squad, thank you for welcoming me into the group.  We certainly had some great times!  We have raised money for Mind and if you know me you know that mental health is a big issue for me personally.  Cosplay has offered opportunities to visit kids int he hospital and many other opportunities supporting kids.  To my premiere squad, we certainly had a great run.  I will cherish those experiences that we had forever.  My favorite moments have been seeing Ronnie meet Benedict Cumberbatch and Alex meet Scarlett Johansson to name a couple.  To all the cosplayers that have shot with me over the years thank you.  You truly helped me to become a better artist and pushed me creatively.  To all the togs that were gracious enough to shoot me I thank you for each shot.  I wish I could thank everyone individually but there are too many to name.  You know who you are.

This has truly been a special part of my life meeting so many people in the cosplay community. I couldn’t have asked for a better family or group of friends and I consider myself lucky for all the time I was able to spend with you.  I feel like a better person for it.  I am going to miss seeing all your stories and pics at the next Con but know I will be there in spirit.  Someone just yell it’s the A-Train baby (I am looking at you Earth 2 Chris)!  This may be the end of my time in the UK but its not the end of our friendship.  You all know how to get in contact with me and some of you better visit too.  It has been my pleasure and I can’t wait until I see you all again.  You never know when I will pop up.  Well some of you do. 😉

P.S. Someone make sure Ugo doesn’t overdose on ice cream haha.
