Have I mentioned how much I love Isle of Skye?  Yea I did in another post and in my 1st video vlog I did roughly about a year ago.

I decided to go back to Skye for Christmas to capture some of the winter beauty.  I was hoping for snow but it wasn’t in the forecast.  I rented a cottage high in the mountains which was amazing.  Skye was hit with a huge snow storm that allowed me to get some great winter photos after all.  I was staying so high up the mountain that I almost couldn’t get down and up the road.  Some minor roads were completely ice.  I hit the usual spots Fairy Glen, Quiraing, Old Man of Storr, Fairy Pools, Eilean Donan Castle, Sligachan and Neist Point Lighthouse.  I finally saw a decent sunset at Neist Point, saw great snow at the Quiraing and hiked once again an hour up to the Old Man of Storr to catch the sunrise.  I even got a reflection photo of the Old Man of Storr that I waited a year for.  It was actually the last photo I took while I was driving to leave Skye.  The wind was finally low enough for me to catch the reflection in the water.  This experience is one I hope you get to do someday.  Take a look at the pics below.
