First let me say that Ireland is one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited. I spent 5 days driving the island and visiting national parks. The first National Park we traveled to was Wicklow National Park. It offered some amazing views after a long hike. Here is a self portrait of me looking out over Wicklow Mountains. There were a lot of trails at different hiking levels that offered great views.
Here is a shot of a waterfall at Wicklow National Park
Next we drove to Powerscourt Waterfall which is Ireland’s highest. Here is a shot my mom took of me and a long exposure I took of the falls.
Next we set off to Limerick which turned out to be a nice city. One of its main attractions is King John’s Castle which is pictured below at night. It is located on the river which makes for good reflections.
Here is panoramic shot done by hand from the top of the castle.
Next we went to Burren National Park which was located in the city of Killinaboy (yeah you read that right). We hiked here for a couple of hours and I got some good panoramic shots.
From there we went to catch the sunset at the Cliffs of Moher. I got a nice shot of the sunset hitting off the cliffs. There was a barrier up but I climbed over to get the best view possible. While walking up to the cliffs there was a cow that had a nose ring and didn’t want pictures.
Stay tuned next week for the continuation…
