We are in the final stages of post-production for the sequel to award-winning fan film, A-Train: New Beginnings. The sequel is called Part Deux. Shots by Shinobi Productions is excited to complete the A-Train saga by introducing the fall and rise of the supe.
The movie will dive into mental health struggles and the discussion of asking for help. Especially amongst Black men.
A-Train: New Beginnings Part Deux is a satirical exploration of fame and what happens when a superhero loses everything. This parody proves that even the fastest man alive can’t outrun the truth.
The film will debut at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art on February 9th. There will be a Q&A with myself and a couple members of the cast afterwards.
You may recall the first film had a lead song titled Mr. Run Through Ya Girlfriend. This time the lead single for Part Deux is Turbo Rush. Here is the official music video for Turbo Rush.

Part Deux brings back some familiar faces as Chris Carthern reprises his role as A-Train and co-directs the movie with Chong Ahn, who is also the cinematographer. We are bringing back your favorite newscaster Melissa Jackson and the host with the most, Ugo. We have added some new cast members to include Jacquez Patterson, Suzanne Wong, Alexandre Raphael and Jeffrey Lee Cheatham II.
The A-Train: New Beginnings part one fan film has been widely recognized for its original music and creative concept, winning accolades at prestigious film festivals worldwide. Recent awards include Best Indie Short Film and Audience Choice Award at Mokkho International Film Festival, Best Indie Short Film at Triloka International Filmfare Awards, Best Music Video at the Mokkho International Film Festival, the Indo French International Film Festival, and the Parai Musical International Awards, as well as Best Hip Hop Music Video at the Cuckoo International Film Awards. Mr Run Through Ya Girlfriend has also been an official selection at notable festivals like the Oniros Film Festival and the Cineplay International Film Festival.
